About

I'm Kerianne.

I'm a therapist who genuinely likes people. I focus on trauma, stress and mood regulation, and OCD — the kind of stuff that's hard to do alone, and gets a lot easier with the right approach.

The personal stuff

Outside of work, I like to hike, travel, and read books. I have a strong affinity for bagels and all forms of cheese. I am a mother of three kids and one floof. I'm a curious person by nature and I sincerely love being a therapist.

For me, therapy is hard work that's also, somehow, enjoyable.

I can't help but enjoy my clients — their humor, the way they tell a story, the things they notice. I love getting to know how people's brains work. I love watching people start to feel different, and heal.

Sessions usually start with me asking what's been coming up since we last met, and goals between sessions are chosen by you, not assigned by me. I'm not the authority on you. I'm a mirror, and a bit of a director of internal traffic.

I'll ask a lot of questions in the first session — your symptoms, your history, your coping skills, who's important to you, what you've been through. We'll come up with goals together and probably talk about which therapy approaches fit best. It's collaborative, and you stay in control of how much you share.

LCSW (Utah) and LICSW (Washington) mean the same thing. I practice independently and most insurance companies work well with this licensure.

States I'm licensed in

I currently see clients in Utah and Washington. Telehealth licensing is state-by-state — if you're outside Utah or Washington, sadly I can't be your therapist. (I know. I'm sorry.) I'm happy to point you toward directories where you can find someone in your state.
